School Council
Developing leadership skills
Leadership is developed on many levels. Children learn to feel confident taking the lead in group activities. As they move through the school they take on additional roles such as librarian, house captain and school charity champion, and thrive on contributing to make our school such a wonderful place.
They develop public speaking and presentation skills, culminating with the Year 6 Charity Talks and fund raising activities.
They work with younger children during Buddy Reading sessions and mixed-age events, and they understand how to be good role models.
Our children lead church services and assemblies, and have the opportunity to represent their peers on the school council.
School Council
Our School Council meets on a regular basis and provides a forum for pupils to share and debate their ideas on how to make our school an even better place. Most recently, the Council reviewed and agreed our playgrounds rules to ensure all children have an enjoyable time during breaks.
Each class holds an election at the beginning of the school year and has two representatives on the Council.
